Can I run my debit card as a credit card?

I just received my debit card from the Golden1 Credit Union. I just programmed my PIN number, and they said it would take about 24 hours for it to work. But I am going out of town tomorrow morning. I was wondering if I could just run the card as credit instead. Will it work?|||With a Visa logo, it can be run as a credit card. But the card might very well work by tomorrow morning anyway.
