As a small business owner who deals with small transactions, our debit card fees are outrageous, sometimes as high as 5% of our gross.





Sorry Mr. Bankster, you will have to find the money for your daughter's Mercedes somewhere else.|||That decision just screwed most American consumers. Our debit cards will no longer be fee-free. Business may be happy, but the consumer just got royally screwed.|||Then find another credit card processing company. I have experience in this, and the fees vary greatly based on the company. Seems to me that this is more government intrusion where it does not belong. They will by passing on increased service fees to the customer... However, I do agree that those fees (not to mention the average $2.50 ATM fees) are excessive.|||Bankster. That's real clever. Sounds like gangster.|||The democraps are all hot air no substance.
