How long does it take for a refund to be be transferred back to a debit card?

A refund was placed on my debit card yesterday about 1pm, and still has not appeared in my bank account. How long does it usually take?|||it can take up to 5 days but if you ring your bank they can usualy sort it quickly by doing a force refund:-)|||3 to 5 business days. Sorrily, the merchant takes a lot of time to give you your money back, and only seconds to take it. What's wrong with this system?
