Is there a difference between routing numbers in a checking account and a prepaid debit card?

I filed my taxes and entered the routing numbers and such given to have it deposited to a debit card and then realized that Greendot says to click checking account. I am a bit concerned. Will it still be correctly transferred because of the routing and account numbers?|||Not a good sign. Routing numbers are for bank branches. Debit cards don't go through branches, they go through corporate. I can't imagine how it will go through.
