Can I add minutes on a verizon phone with a debit card over the phone?

I have a verizon prepaid phone, I know you can buy minutes over the phone with a credit card, but can you do it with a debit card?|||If the card has a Visa or Mastercard logo you can use it the same as a credit card, except that you can't spend more money than you have.
